Primavera
Primavera is one of the oldest annual art festivals in the area – the Annual ADAS Spring Art Show, held in May each year.
It was the first art show Alamo Danville Artists’ Society created after it was founded 46 years ago. And every year since, the Spring Show welcomes both members and non-members to display and sell their art.
Primavera is held at Blackhawk Plaza located at the 3380 Blackhawk Circle, at the Corner of Camino Tassajara and Crow Canyon Rd. in Danville CA.
ADAS Meetings
A general meeting for all members and the public is held on the second Tuesday of each month (except June, July, August, and December) at 3416 Blackhawk Plaza Circle,
Danville, CA, at 7:30 pm.
Meetings feature a lively exchange of creative ideas and demonstrations/lectures by distinguished local and nationally-renowned guest artists. Arriving early is advised, enjoy dessert, refreshments, networking and claim a seat.
ADAS Newsletter
The Newsletter is published electronically at the beginning of each month. It includes information on membership, monthly meetings, future events, shows to enter, exhibits to see, and classes to attend.
It publicizes the upcoming guest artist who will be demonstrating at the next monthly meeting.
The Newsletter is a way for Members to submit and share good new like awards, shows and special events.
The Memory Project
We are proud to announce that ADAS continue to support the Memory Project even during this challenging pandemic time. We will work with teachers and 54 students from Dougherty Valley High and California High. The 2021 project will partner up with an orphanage in India.
Our 2020 project was to focus on children from Russia.
These two San Ramon high schools participated in the 2019 Memory Project with focus on Children from Pakistan & Afghanistan. ADAS has been a proud supporter of Memory Project by donating funds and art supplies to participating schools. Many thanks to art teacher Leanne Tangney from Cal High for bringing in Kelsey Wengel with Dougherty High School students.
