San Ramon Valley High Schools Give Impoverished Children the Gift of Art

ADAS is proud to support the Memory Project (www.memoryproject.org/about) since 2015. The Memory Project organizes art teachers and their students to create portraits from photographs sent in by children from other parts of the world to provide them with a special childhood memory for the future. ADAS has been a proud supporter of the Memory Project by donating funds to participating schools.

The 2022-2023 portraits will be created by teachers and students from Dougherty Valley High and California High for children in northern Nigeria.

In 2021-2022, teachers and 54 students from Dougherty Valley High and California High. provided portraits for an orphanage in India. Many thanks to art teacher Leanne Tangney (Cal High) and Kelsey Wengel (Dougherty Valley High) who directed their students through this remarkable project.
