About
The Alamo Danville Artists’ Society, founded in 1977, is a non-profit organization that fosters fine art appreciation and education within our communities, provides the opportunity for artists to further their artistic development, and supports the school art programs through fund-raising.
Membership includes artists and patrons who appreciate the visual arts. ADAS regularly hosts distinguished and nationally known guest artists at the monthly meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our membership currently consists of over 150 professional and non-professional artists of all levels, including non-artists as well.
ADAS also operates the Blackhawk Gallery, a co-operative gallery featuring juried members working in all mediums, including watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, colored pencil, photography, ceramics, and sculpture. Primavera is our annual May weekend Spring Art Show, which is open to members and non-members to display and sell their work.
