Jake Edwards is a local artist and an art teacher at Liberty High School. He originally grew up in Oroville California near the wild life refuge. This environment had a huge influence in Edwards art work.
Edwards has been drawing since he could hold a pencil, he now specializes is painting, ceramics, and multimedia sculpture. Most of Edwards art is nature related as you can see in his current sculptures here at the Delta Gallery.
Edwards has also been involved with some art projects with the city of Brentwood. In 2016 Edwards and his students designed and created the sculptures at Sunset Park. He also painted the utility box at the corner of Main Street and Nancy.
In the last two years Edwards has also run the art program for Y.E.P. (Youth empowerment program). This is an after school program that provides art projects, and a final art show for the students to show their works at the Delta Gallery.
Overall Edwards is very passionate about art, as he loves to teach it and express himself through it.
