Jim Vlantis is a member of the Danville/Sycamore Valley Rotary Club and past president of the Rotary Club of San Leandro.After a long career in business and social services, Jim decided to pursue his dream of becoming an oil painter.Jim is a member of the Alamo Danville Art Society and his paintings can be seen at the Blackhawk Gallery, 3416 Blackhawk Plaza Circle, Danville, CA.
Jim has worked with various mediums including, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, watercolor and oil.He enjoy oils most of all for their depth of color and ease of blending on canvas. His paintings are built up in multiple layers which enable him to utilize glazing techniques and the rich hues in oils.Jim paints landscapes, still lifes and coastal scenes using realism and impressionist styles.Enjoy!
