Yim Ivy Wu at Horizons! Exhibit

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I am an artist who likes portraying different themes with oils, especially for scenery and confident, beautiful women with a contemporary art style. Since I began drawing as a child, my main interest was having figures in all my favorite artworks. After I had grown up, I have been trying to represent the figures in a way that maybe I can’t express with words or writing. I have also been greatly inspired by the natural world since I first came to California as a young adult from the beautiful city, Hong Kong.

After I earned my master’s degree in business from Sacramento State University, I worked and raised my family in the Bay Area. But my passion for art is never diminished. It’s an honor for me that I was awarded second prize for the Visual Art of Havik Publication Competition in 2021. And my artworks were published in Las Positas College’s Award Winning Literary Art Journal 2019, 2020, and 2021. Currently, my artwork are available in the Blackhawk Gallery.
