Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Yim Ivy Wu is an artist who likes portraying different themes with oils, especially for scenery and confident, beautiful women with a contemporary art style. Since she began drawing as a child, her main interest was having figures in all her favorite artworks. After she had grown up, she has been trying to represent the figures in a way that maybe she can’t express with words or writing. Ivy has also been greatly inspired by the natural world since she first came to California as a young adult from the beautiful city, Hong Kong.
Ivy’s artworks were published in LPC’s Award Winning Literary Arts Journal 2019/2010. Before that, she had worked in the business world for several years after she earned her Master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento. Currently, she lives with her loving husband David and her two kids Helen and Brian in Danville, California.
It’s an honor for me that I was awarded second prize for the Visual Art of Havik Publication Competition in 2021.
