Gene Howard is a fresh contributor to the world of abstract art. He began painting after retiring from marketing and sales in 2016. His art reflects the subtle intricacies of beauty that surround us in everyday life. Gene utilizes acrylic paints with vibrant colors to create appealing visions of something familiar to each viewer. He applies paint with pallet knives of various sizes and (funnily enough) wood sticks in order to create texture and richness in his art.

Gene has expanded his artistic creativity by participating in community art showing events such as the Danville Maker’s Market and has been awarded an honorary mention at the Blackhawk Gallery’s Primavera Spring Showing. As a member of ADAS, Gene continues to aspire to learn from the talented artists in his community and perfect his current skills.

Gene, lives in Alamo with his wife, and their spoiled cat. You can find him on instagram, @genehoward_art , where he sells and displays his paintings.
